Dr. Stewart is contracted as a preferred provider with Discovery Health and charges Discovery Classic rates. He is also registered as a preferred provider with the Major Joints Network (Discovery) and the Improved Clinical Pathway Services (ICPS) for hip and knee arthroplasty.
Patients on other medical aids may be required to pay a co-payment. Payments for out-patient appointments must be settled by credit card or EFT at the time of the consultation
Please bring all relevant X-rays, MRI, CT scans, recent blood results and referral letters.
How long is a consultation?
If you are a new patient your consultation is booked for 30 min. This includes a full assessment, relevant investigations as well a discussion about the treatment options. Follow-up appointments will be booked for 15min.
Rehabilitation
Physiotherapists, occupational therapists and biokineticists
Dr. Stewart works closely with a number of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and biokineticists in the surrounding areas. If necessary, he can refer you to a therapist closer to your home or work.
Stewart Physiotherapy
All hospital in-patients will be treated by “Stewart Physiotherapy”. Stewart Physiotherapy follow Dr. Stewart’s post operative rehabilitation protocols and their outpatient rooms are based in Woodmead
